Arbitration
Doug is chosen as an arbitrator because he does not split the baby. His view of arbitration is that in appropriate cases it is a more efficient way to obtain decisions than the court system. Since there is generally no right to appeal and very limited judicial review of arbitration decisions, Doug believes that the parties' and counsel's perception of his fairness, neutrality, and impartiality are critical.
